Coates Field Service (Canada) Ltd. was federally incorporated in 1960 and registered in British Columbia in 1965. Coates was organized to assist utility companies, municipalities and government agencies in acquiring easements and right-of-way and has subsequently developed into a firm which offers a full range of real estate consulting services. The firm is recognized as a leader in the land acquisition and right-of-way industry and maintains a national exposure with its corporate headquarters in Surrey, British Columbia, with divisional field offices provided to clients on an as-needed basis at various locations throughout the country. Employing only highly qualified Land Agents and Appraisers, Coates is able to respond to the needs of its clients throughout Canada.

Coates Field Service (Canada) Ltd. is exclusively in the business of providing land and right-of-way acquisition services. Since 1960, Coates has been employing professionals who are trained to negotiate with the goal of successful acquisition, avoiding expropriation whenever possible. With the number and quality of personnel employed, Coates can handle both individual property, or major corridor acquisitions. Coates is able to provide one individual to perform specific tasks or an entire staff of professional and support personnel to carry an acquisition project from its inception to completion.
